The SmartRight Association is open to any interested party.
It is responsible for the following missions:
- - develop/maintain the SmartRight specification
- - control the creation and distribution of certified keys to
entities in charge of personalization of security modules (smart cards)
- - define renewability/revocation rules
- - check that the system is not hacked
- - drive corrective actions in case of hacking (revocation / renewal)
- - control a network of Checkpoint for smart cards replacement
- - license SmartRight specification and logo
- - collect SmartRight fees
